Post A : PHP/MySQL Web
Developers - The web developer
will be responsible for producing database driven websites,
including e-commerce (advantageous to know oscommerce) and
updatable systems, using XHTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL technologies.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, enthusiastic and
keen to learn new skills. They will be a good communicator,
confident and comfortable dealing with internal staff and
external clients alike. A graduate in a technical subject such
as computer science, they will be keen to develop their
programming knowledge further. The main skills required are: PHP
programming, MySQL relational database design and XHTML coding
(by hand). In addition a knowledge of search engine optimisation
principles & techniques, CSS web page layout (as opposed to
tables), the Linux operating system, and Internet principles
would also be advantageous. Creative design skills are not
essential as website designs will be provided by our graphic
designers, however a knowledge of Photoshop is an advantage to
allow the conversion of a given design in XHTML - This is a
Temporary Part-Time position to begin with (Independent
